Parking hours in Dubai:
Parking in Dubai is paid from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. On Sundays and public holidays, parking is free. It is important to note that during Ramadan, the parking schedule may change, so be prepared for adjustments.
Types of parking in Dubai:
The city has several types of parking, divided into commercial and residential zones. The main ones are:
Zone A
Zone A includes roadside parking in some commercial areas of the city. These parking lots operate from Monday to Saturday, open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and the total cost depends on the duration of parking.
- 2 dirhams for 30 minutes
- 4 dirhams for 1 hour
- 8 dirhams for 2 hours
- 12 dirhams for 3 hours
- 16 dirhams for 4 hours
Zone B
Zone B operates from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. These parking lots are also located in commercial zones.
Rates in Zone B are as follows:
- 3 dirhams for 1 hour
- 6 dirhams for 2 hours
- 9 dirhams for 3 hours
- 12 dirhams for 4 hours
- 15 dirhams for 5 hours
- 20 dirhams for 24 hours
Zone C
Zone C refers to non-commercial areas. Primarily, it includes roadside parking in residential areas of Dubai. Like the previous categories, parking in this zone operates from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The cost also depends on the duration of parking:
- 2 dirhams for 1 hour
- 5 dirhams for 2 hours
- 8 dirhams for 3 hours
- 11 dirhams for 4 hours
Zone D
Zone D is also considered non-commercial. It includes areas in residential districts, including Al Qusais and Al Nahda. The schedule remains the same: parking operates from Monday to Saturday, open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. These zones have the lowest parking fees:
- 2 dirhams for 1 hour
- 4 dirhams for 2 hours
- 5 dirhams for 3 hours
- 7 dirhams for 4 hours
- 10 dirhams for 24 hours
Zone E
Parking in this category includes special areas, both open and underground parking lots. The distinctive feature is a longer operating day: these parking lots close at 11:00 PM. They operate from Monday to Saturday. Underground parking is free, while parking in open lots requires a fee:
- 4 dirhams for 1 hour
- 8 dirhams for 2 hours
- 12 dirhams for 3 hours
- 16 dirhams for 4 hours
Zone F
Zone F includes many parking areas in the Tecom district. Be aware of their shortened schedule: these parking lots open at 8:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM. The parking fees are:
- 2 dirhams for 1 hour
- 5 dirhams for 2 hours
- 8 dirhams for 3 hours
- 11 dirhams for 4 hours
Zone G This category also includes paid parking in busy areas of the city, including Burj Khalifa, Marasi Bay, and some other districts. Parking is available from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Rates are also based on the number of hours:
- 4 dirhams for 1 hour
- 8 dirhams for 2 hours
- 12 dirhams for 3 hours
- 16 dirhams for 4 hours
Zone H
This group includes parking lots in the Dubai Silicon Oasis area. Like some other zones, these parking lots allow for 30-minute use. Working hours: Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The parking fee will be:
- 2 dirhams for 30 minutes
- 4 dirhams for 1 hour
- 8 dirhams for 2 hours
- 12 dirhams for 3 hours
- 16 dirhams for 4 hours
Zone I
The last three zones include parking in the Jumeirah Lake Tower. These parking lots are considered priority. You can park your vehicle for up to three hours. The parking operates on the usual schedule from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The cost is higher than in most previous zones:
- 10 dirhams for 1 hour
- 20 dirhams for 2 hours
- 30 dirhams for 3 hours
Zone J
Like the previous zone, these parking lots are located in Jumeirah Lake Tower, and you can use them for up to 3 hours. They operate from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM without breaks, and allow for 30-minute parking. The cost is:
- 2 dirhams for 30 minutes
- 4 dirhams for 1 hour
- 8 dirhams for 2 hours
- 12 dirhams for 3 hours
Zone K
The last zone also allows for 30-minute stops. The distinguishing feature of these parking lots is the possibility to leave the vehicle for a longer period. The working hours are the same as in the previous zones, and the cost of using them is:
- 2 dirhams for 30 minutes;
- 4 dirhams for 1 hour;
- 8 dirhams for 2 hours;
- 12 dirhams for 3 hours;
- 16 dirhams for 4 hours;
- 20 dirhams for 5 hours;
- 24 dirhams for 6 hours;
- 28 dirhams for 7 hours;
- 32 dirhams for 24 hours.
In Dubai, various payment methods are available for parking your rental car: Using coins: If you do not have a local SIM card or mobile service, use dirham coins for payment at the standard meters fixed to the poles and columns in the city. Prices depend on duration and location, typically ranging from 2 to 10 dirhams. Be sure to take a ticket and attach it under your windshield!!!! Mobile apps: RTA Dubai, Dubai Drive, and S’hail (a VPN may be required to access the site). Parking terminals: machines with payment terminals. Prepaid cards: with balances of 30, 50, or 100 AED.
