Al Maktoum, DWC, is Dubai's second airport, 40 km south-west of the city next to Expo City. It takes some charters and low-cost carriers and all cargo traffic, and it is planned to become Dubai's main airport during the 2030s. For now it has one passenger terminal and few rental desks, and a taxi into the city costs AED 150 to 200 because of the distance. When booking, you give us your flight number, the driver tracks the arrival online and meets you at the arrivals exit with a name board. The handover takes about 10 minutes, with no deposit. Why delivery pays off at DWC
On rentals of 7 days or more, when delivery is free, you save around AED 180 one way compared with a taxi to the Marina, so a day's rental is partly paid for by the transfer alone. DWC has one terminal, and we meet you at its arrivals exit, so there is no confusion about where to look for the driver. The driver follows your flight by number, so a delay is not a problem; if immigration takes longer than an hour, drop us a WhatsApp message.
Driving from DWC and returning the car
The road from DWC runs along the E311 through Jebel Ali and is clear at any hour. The Marina is 35 to 40 minutes away along the E311 or E611, the centre about 50 minutes, and neither highway has Salik gates. For the return, we meet you at the departures terminal, usually three hours before an international flight; the petrol stations on the E311 near Jebel Ali are handy for filling up on the way.
Documents and delivery terms
Bring your passport with the visa or entry stamp, your national driving licence and, if your licence was issued outside the UAE's recognised list, an International Driving Permit; if you did not get one at home, we can arrange a digital permit on the spot for AED 250. No credit card is needed. On rentals of 7 days or more, delivery to DWC and collection there are free; on shorter rentals they cost AED 210 for both legs together. There is no deposit on any car, and 250 km a day are included.
