Al Quoz is a large district of warehouses, workshops and residential pockets on the inland side of Sheikh Zayed Road, stretching from Al Barsha towards Business Bay. It is best known for Alserkal Avenue, a cluster of contemporary art galleries, cafes and studios in converted warehouses. The Red Line of the metro runs along Sheikh Zayed Road on its edge, but the district is spread out, and a car is the easy way to get around it. Our office is in Dubai Marina, 15 to 20 minutes away, so for Al Quoz we bring the car to your home, studio or office. The handover takes about 10 minutes. Parking in Al Quoz
Many warehouses, studios and offices have parking in front of the building or in their own yard; ask the tenant where visitors may leave a car. In the industrial streets trucks load and unload during the day, so do not block gates and loading bays. Where there are Parkin street bays, the standard rules apply: pay by zone code in the Parkin app, AED 4.20 an hour at peak, 8 to 10 in the morning and 4 to 8 in the evening, AED 2.10 to 4.20 off-peak depending on the zone, and free from 10 pm to 8 am, on Sundays and on public holidays.
Getting around from Al Quoz
Al Quoz lies between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road. Al Khail Road has no gate on this stretch and is the usual way round when Sheikh Zayed Road is jammed; on Sheikh Zayed Road the Al Barsha gate by Mall of the Emirates and the Al Safa gates towards Downtown charge AED 4.20 or 6.30 per crossing depending on the hour. Mall of the Emirates is 5 to 10 minutes away, Downtown 10 to 15 minutes outside rush hour, and the Marina 15 to 20 minutes.
Delivery terms
On rentals of 7 days or more, delivery and collection anywhere in Dubai are free. On shorter rentals they cost AED 210 for both legs together. There is no deposit on any car, and 250 km a day are included.
