Downtown Dubai is the district around Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, with the fountains, Dubai Opera, Souk Al Bahar and the Burj Park waterfront. Our office is in Dubai Marina, 20 to 30 minutes away on Sheikh Zayed Road outside rush hour, so for Downtown we bring the car to your hotel or apartment building. The handover takes about 10 minutes: you inspect the car, photograph it and sign the contract. Arrange the time with us by WhatsApp; support works daily from 10:00 to 19:00.
Parking in Downtown
Street bays around Burj Khalifa are zone A: AED 4.20 an hour in standard bays at any time of day, AED 6.30 in premium bays at peak, 8 to 10 in the morning and 4 to 8 in the evening, with a four-hour maximum stay. Street parking is free from 10 pm to 8 am, on Sundays and on public holidays. Dubai Mall's car park is usually more convenient: the first hours are free, it is closer to the fountains, and you walk straight in out of the heat. At weekends and during sales the ring road around Burj Khalifa slows to a crawl and getting into the car park can take fifteen minutes, so head straight for the upper levels. Five-star hotels in Downtown sometimes charge AED 30 to 60 for valet retrieval; check when booking.
Driving from Downtown
Mornings are the busiest time to get into Downtown, 8:00 to 9:30, and Al Khail Road at the Downtown interchanges is slow then too. Around the district, Financial Centre Road and Al Asayel Street run parallel to the main avenues and are often quicker. Sheikh Zayed Road towards the Marina passes the Al Safa and Al Barsha Salik gates, AED 4.20 or 6.30 per crossing depending on the hour; Al Khail Road avoids them. The Dubai Frame is about ten minutes away, Al Seef on Dubai Creek 15 to 20 minutes, and DXB airport about 20 minutes.
Delivery terms
On rentals of 7 days or more, delivery and collection anywhere in Dubai are free, so you can take the car at a Downtown hotel and hand it back in the Marina or at the airport. On shorter rentals delivery and collection cost AED 210 for both legs together. There is no deposit on any car, and 250 km a day are included.
