Jumeirah Golf Estates is a gated community of villas, townhouses and apartment buildings around two championship golf courses, Earth and Fire; the DP World Tour Championship is played on the Earth course every November. It lies off Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Al Furjan, and the Red Line branch to Expo City has a Jumeirah Golf Estates station, but the community itself is spread out, and residents mostly get around by car. Our office is in Dubai Marina, 15 to 20 minutes away, so for Jumeirah Golf Estates we bring the car to your villa or building. The handover takes about 10 minutes. Delivery and parking in Jumeirah Golf Estates
Many villas in the community look alike, and the house numbering is not always obvious to an outsider, so send us the Makani number along with the address: the driver will come straight to the right door. You will find the number in the Makani app or in the Google Maps place card, and often on a plate at the entrance. Villas have their own driveways, apartment buildings have car parks with a limited number of spaces, and visitor parking in residential complexes is usually limited to about four hours. Do not park at a neighbour's gate or on the sand between houses: neighbours call an inspector faster than you would think.
Getting around from Jumeirah Golf Estates
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) runs past the community and has no Salik gates, which makes it the easy route towards Abu Dhabi, DWC and the Sharjah side of the city. On Sheikh Zayed Road, the Jebel Ali gate by Ibn Battuta Mall, on the way out towards Abu Dhabi, charges AED 4.20 or 6.30 per crossing depending on the hour. The Marina and JBR are 15 to 20 minutes away, Al Maktoum airport, DWC, about 20 minutes, and Downtown about 30 minutes outside rush hour.
Delivery terms
On rentals of 7 days or more, delivery and collection anywhere in Dubai are free. On shorter rentals they cost AED 210 for both legs together. There is no deposit on any car, and 250 km a day are included.
