Jebel Ali is the south-western edge of Dubai on the road to Abu Dhabi: the port and the Jebel Ali Free Zone, residential communities, beach resorts on the coast and Ibn Battuta Mall on Sheikh Zayed Road. The Red Line of the metro runs here, but the free zone and the resorts are spread out, and with a car getting around is much easier. Our office is in Dubai Marina, 15 to 20 minutes away, so for Jebel Ali we bring the car to your hotel, home or office. For an office in the free zone, tell us the gate and the building in advance. Parking in Jebel Ali

Offices in the free zone have their own car parks, and beach hotels usually park guests' cars for free; for a delivered car, ask reception where to leave it. Ibn Battuta Mall has a large car park with electric car chargers. Most Red Line stations have free park-and-ride car parks, so on a weekday morning you can leave the car at a station and take the metro into Downtown or DIFC instead of sitting in traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road. Where there are Parkin street bays, the standard rules apply: pay by zone code in the Parkin app, AED 4.20 an hour at peak, AED 2.10 to 4.20 off-peak depending on the zone, and free from 10 pm to 8 am, on Sundays and on public holidays.

Getting around from Jebel Ali

The Jebel Ali Salik gate is on Sheikh Zayed Road by Ibn Battuta Mall, on the way out towards Abu Dhabi, AED 4.20 or 6.30 per crossing depending on the hour. The parallel Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) has no Salik gates and also avoids the Darb gate at Ghantoot, just inside Abu Dhabi, which charges AED 4 at any hour. Al Maktoum airport, DWC, next to Expo City, is about 20 minutes away along the E311, which is clear at any hour, and the petrol stations on the E311 near Jebel Ali are handy for filling up before a DWC return. The Marina is 15 to 20 minutes away, Downtown about 30 minutes outside rush hour.

Delivery terms

On rentals of 7 days or more, delivery and collection anywhere in Dubai are free. On shorter rentals they cost AED 210 for both legs together. There is no deposit on any car, and 250 km a day are included.
