Jumeirah is the long coastal district between Downtown and the Marina, with Jumeirah Beach Road running past the public beaches, Kite Beach, La Mer, the Burj Al Arab and Madinat Jumeirah. The metro does not reach the Jumeirah beaches, so with a hotel or villa here a car for the whole stay usually pays off. Our office is in Dubai Marina, so for Jumeirah we bring the car to your hotel or villa. The handover takes about 10 minutes. Parking in Jumeirah
The Parkin bays along Jumeirah Beach Road are full from the morning at weekends, so for the beach come early. At Kite Beach the roadside bays are zone A or B: AED 3.15 to 4.20 an hour, more in premium bays at peak. Street parking is free from 10 pm to 8 am, on Sundays and on public holidays. Madinat Jumeirah has free parking at the entrance, La Mer has free or cheap parking, and City Walk has covered parking for hot afternoons. In villa areas do not park at villa gates or on the sand between houses: neighbours call an inspector faster than you would think.
Getting around from Jumeirah
The internal roads of Jumeirah have no Salik gates; the Al Safa gates are on Sheikh Zayed Road between Downtown and Jumeirah, AED 4.20 or 6.30 per crossing depending on the hour. For photos of the Burj Al Arab, the public beach at Umm Suqeim shows the whole sail shape. Jumeirah Beach Road in the evening, past the beaches and the Burj Al Arab, is the classic drive. In the morning, 7:00 to 9:30, traffic heads north from Jumeirah towards the centre, so leave for Downtown a little earlier or later. DXB airport is about 25 minutes away.
Delivery terms
On rentals of 7 days or more, delivery and collection anywhere in Dubai are free. On shorter rentals they cost AED 210 for both legs together. There is no deposit on any car, and 250 km a day are included.
