What we have: 7 Hondas and 8 Mazdas

Japanese sedans and crossovers are rarely the first pick for a showy trip, yet they are what people book most often for a week or a month: roomy, economical and easy to drive. Our fleet has 15 of them. Prices below are as of October 2026, and the current price is always on the car page.

  • Honda (7 cars): City, Civic, Accord, HR-V, CR-V, Pilot, Odyssey. From 110 to 300 AED a day, 720 to 1,800 AED a week, 2,400 to 6,000 AED a month.
  • Mazda (8 cars): Mazda 3 (2023 and 2025), Mazda 6, CX-30 (2023 and 2025), CX-5, CX-60, CX-90. From 119 to 330 AED a day, 790 to 1,980 AED a week, 2,090 to 6,600 AED a month.

Three of these cars come from a partner company: the Honda City, Honda Civic and Mazda 6. They have their own terms, a 1,000 AED deposit and a 7-day minimum, shown on each car page. The other twelve need no deposit and have a minimum of 1 to 2 days.

Honda: roomy and economical

The Accord has a 1.5-litre turbo with 192 hp and suits anyone covering a lot of distance between emirates: a quiet cabin, a big rear seat and a 360-degree camera. At 180 AED a day it is one of the most sensible picks for business runs from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

The City and Civic are partner cars. According to its page the City uses about 5.5 litres per 100 km, and the Civic has a 178 hp turbo and the Honda Sensing safety suite. They are the cheapest Hondas we have, but with a 7-day minimum and a deposit.

The HR-V (160 AED a day) has the Magic Seat rear bench that folds up for tall items. The CR-V, with all-wheel drive and a 590-litre boot, is a good family car for a month. For bigger groups there is the eight-seat Pilot and the seven-seat Odyssey minivan.

Mazda: for people who care how a car drives

Among Mazdas we most often recommend the Mazda 3: from 119 AED a day for the 2023 car, or 150 AED for the 2025 one with a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine and a head-up display. The CX-30 (155 AED for the 2025 version) sits higher but is just as frugal and easy in town.

The Mazda 6 with a 187 hp 2.5-litre engine is lovely on the roads to Hatta and Fujairah, but it is a partner car with a 7-day minimum. The all-wheel-drive CX-5 with 187 hp costs 170 AED a day and copes with almost any task. The CX-60 (285 hp, inline-six, 280 AED) and CX-90 (340 PS, seven seats, 330 AED) feel close to premium without the premium price.

Choosing by purpose

  • One or two people, city driving: Mazda 3, Honda City or Honda HR-V.
  • Highway and trips between emirates: Honda Accord, Mazda 6 or Mazda CX-5.
  • Family of four or five: Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-30 or CX-5.
  • Large family or group: Honda Pilot, Honda Odyssey, Mazda CX-90.

Where the savings are

The biggest gap appears when you move to a weekly or monthly rate. A Honda Accord for 7 days costs 1,170 AED instead of 1,260 at the daily rate, and for 30 days 3,950 AED instead of 5,400. A Mazda 3 2025 costs 3,300 AED for a month, while 30 separate days would come to 4,500 AED. On rentals of 7 days or more, delivery and return within Dubai are free; on shorter ones they cost 210 AED for both together.

What is included and what is extra

Insurance and 250 km per day are included. Speeding fines and Salik tolls are paid at actual cost. The driver must be at least 21 with at least a year of driving experience. If you want to drive to Oman, ask when booking: it is not allowed on partner cars.
