Lebanese visitors come to Dubai for business, to see family and on holiday, and almost all of them want a car: distances between districts and emirates are long, and taxis add up quickly with frequent trips. Here is which documents to prepare, how to check your licence and which cars you can take.
A Lebanese licence and the IDP
The countries whose licences are accepted in the UAE without an International Driving Permit (IDP) are listed in our reference article: the EU states, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Israel, the Gulf states and others. Lebanon is not on that list, so it makes sense to travel with your Lebanese licence and an IDP. There is also a condition on the script: the licence must be in Latin script or carry a Latin-script duplicate. If your card is printed only in Arabic, the IDP is exactly what solves this.
An IDP is a translation, not a standalone document. It is invalid without the original licence, and police ask to see both at a stop. It has to be arranged in your home country before you fly. We confirm the exact requirement for your licence before booking, so write to us before you pay.
- Passport with a valid UAE visa or entry stamp. Entry conditions are set by the authorities, so check them before you travel.
- Licence, valid for the whole rental, plus the IDP.
- Age and experience: from 21 years old with at least one year of driving. There is no young-driver fee. Some supercars have stricter terms shown on the car page.
- Second driver: their passport and licence are needed at handover.
If you live in the UAE
Many Lebanese work in the UAE. The rule is simple: once you hold a residence visa, foreign licences stop being valid, even if the issuing country is on the recognised list. You then need a local licence, and renting on foreign documents is not possible. If you are still waiting for your local licence, ask us which documents will work in your situation.
Which cars to choose
If you like German brands and SUVs, the fleet has something for every budget. Prices are as of October 2026, and the current price is on each car page.
| Car | Day, AED | Week, AED | Month, AED |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kia Sportage 2025, 156 hp | 190 | 1,240 | 4,200 |
| Mercedes-Benz A200 2024, 163 hp | 250 | 1,500 | 5,000 |
| BMW 320i 2025, 184 hp | 349 | 2,390 | 7,490 |
| Range Rover Evoque 2024, 249 hp | 350 | 2,100 | 7,000 |
| Jeep Grand Cherokee 2024, 293 hp | 380 | 2,280 | 7,600 |
| Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024, 7 seats | 400 | 2,400 | 8,000 |
| Mercedes-Benz C300 2025, 258 hp | 480 | 2,880 | 9,600 |
| Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 2024, 381 hp | 650 | 3,770 | 12,350 |
For business meetings the Mercedes C300 or BMW 320i fits. A family with luggage will be more comfortable in the Land Cruiser Prado, while the Kia Sportage or Mercedes A200 is enough for the city and short trips. If you need a driver, we have a separate chauffeur rental service: ask about it when booking.
How people drive in Dubai
Traffic keeps to the right with the wheel on the left, as in Lebanon, so there is nothing to relearn. The difference is elsewhere: roads in Dubai are wide and multi-lane, and enforcement is mostly by cameras rather than officers on the road.
- Speed. Sheikh Zayed Road is posted at 100 or 120 km/h depending on the section. Cameras in Dubai typically start recording from about 21 km/h over the limit, while Abu Dhabi has no tolerance margin.
- Lane changes. Lanes are changed often, so check your mirrors and keep your distance.
- Parking. Paid almost everywhere and linked to the number plate through an app or meter.
- Salik. Toll gates have no barriers, and a tag is built into the car. A crossing costs AED 6.30 at peak times Monday to Saturday (6:00 to 10:00 and 16:00 to 20:00), AED 4.20 otherwise, a flat AED 4.20 on Sundays and is free from 1:00 to 6:00.
Salik and fines are paid by the renter at actual cost with no markup.
Payment, delivery and the office
We accept cash, bank cards and e-wallets. Before you travel, check with your bank that your card works abroad, and if needed you can pay in cash. When you pay by card, the rental amount may be held as a pre-authorisation and charged at the end. Most cars need no deposit. If one does, it is shown on its page: some cars come from a partner company with its own terms, a deposit of AED 1,000 and a minimum rental of 3 or 7 days. Insurance is included in the price, and 250 km per day is included.
On rentals of 7 days or more, delivery and return anywhere in Dubai are free, and for shorter ones they cost AED 210 together. Our office is in Princess Tower, Dubai Marina, open daily 10:00 to 19:00, with Russian-speaking support. Ask about driving to Oman when booking: it is not allowed on partner cars.
