Renting a car in Dubai costs from 109 AED a day and from 750 AED a week for a compact crossover, and a Toyota Camry costs 1,170 AED a week. To get the price in your own currency, multiply the dirham amount by your bank's rate on the day you pay. All our prices are in AED, and the easiest way to convert them is through the US dollar, because the dirham is pegged to it.
Converting dirhams: the one number worth remembering
The UAE dirham is pegged to the US dollar at 3.6725 AED per dollar, and the peg has held for more than twenty-five years. That gives you an exact conversion to dollars and a stable base for any other currency:
- AED to USD: divide by 3.6725. A 1,170 AED weekly rental is about 318.6 USD.
- AED to any other currency: multiply the AED amount by your bank's rate for that currency on the payment day. If your bank quotes dollars rather than dirhams, convert to USD first and then use the dollar rate.
We do not quote prices in euros, pounds, rupees or roubles because those amounts would depend on the rate on a particular day. The dirham price on the car page is the price you pay.
Real prices in AED and USD
These are our published prices as of November 2026. The USD column uses the fixed peg, so it is exact, not an estimate. The current price is always on each car's page.
| Car | Day, AED | Week, AED | Month (30 days), AED | Week in USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toyota Raize 2024 | 109 | 750 | 2,490 | about 204 |
| Mazda 3 2025 | 150 | 980 | 3,300 | about 267 |
| Toyota Camry 2025 | 180 | 1,170 | 3,950 | about 319 |
| Toyota RAV4 2024 | 220 | 1,320 | 4,400 | about 359 |
| Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 | 400 | 2,400 | 8,000 | about 654 |
The weekly rate is cheaper than seven single days. A Camry for seven days at the daily price would be 1,260 AED, the weekly rate is 1,170 AED. The monthly rate covers 30 days and brings the daily cost down further: the Raize works out at about 83 AED a day on a monthly rental.
What is included and what you pay on top
On most cars the price already includes insurance and 250 km a day, and every car has a refundable deposit from AED 1,000. Delivery and return anywhere in Dubai are free on rentals of 7 days or more; for shorter rentals delivery and return together cost 210 AED. You can also collect the car yourself from our office in Princess Tower, Dubai Marina, open daily from 10:00 to 19:00.
Budget separately for:
- Fuel. A full tank in an economy car is about 150 AED. UAE fuel prices are revised monthly.
- Salik tolls. 6.30 AED per gate at peak hours, 4.20 AED at other times, free from 1:00 to 6:00. A week of active city driving usually adds 20 to 60 AED, billed at actual cost.
- Speeding fines, if any, at actual cost.
- Extra kilometres beyond 250 km a day, at the car's own rate shown on its page: 1 AED per km on the Raize and the Camry, 2 AED on the Prado.
- Parking where it is paid.
A full budget for a week and a month
One week, Toyota Camry 2025: rental 1,170 AED, delivery free, fuel for an active week one or two tanks, so roughly 150 to 300 AED, Salik 20 to 60 AED. Total about 1,340 to 1,530 AED before parking, which is about 365 to 417 USD at the peg.
One month, Toyota Raize 2024: rental 2,490 AED for 30 days, about 678 USD, delivery free, plus fuel and Salik depending on how far you drive. Someone staying in one area and going into town a couple of times a week spends far less on fuel than a visitor driving between emirates every day.
Three days, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024: 3 × 400 = 1,200 AED, plus 210 AED for delivery and return if you do not collect the car at the office. The Camry has a 7-day minimum, so a rental of a few days needs a car that can be rented from one day, like the Prado.
Paying without losing money on the exchange
We accept cash, bank cards and e-wallets. A few practical points:
- Card in another currency. Your bank converts dirhams at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. Check your card's terms before the trip and tell your bank you are travelling.
- Pre-authorisation. When paying by card, the rental amount may be held and charged at the end of the rental, so the final rate can differ slightly from the rate on the booking day.
- Dynamic currency conversion. If a terminal offers to charge you in your home currency instead of AED, compare the rate first. Paying in AED and letting your own bank convert is often the better deal.
- Cash. US dollars and euros are easy to exchange at exchange houses in Dubai malls, where rates are usually better than at the airport.
When comparing rental companies, compare prices in AED. A price someone has converted into your currency was converted at their rate on their day.
Getting an exact quote
Pick the car and dates on the site and send a request with the form on the car page, or write to info@rentalcars-dubai.ae. We confirm the final amount in AED including delivery and the terms of that particular car. Some partner cars have their own terms, such as a 1,000 AED deposit and a minimum period of 7 days, and these are shown on the car page. Then multiply the confirmed AED figure by your bank's rate on the day you pay.
