In Dubai you need a car almost everywhere, and almost everywhere the same question comes up: where do you leave it? The answer depends on the place. Hotels have their own parking or valet, malls have their own rules, and on the street there are paid zones. Tariffs and hours change, so we do not quote exact amounts here: read the sign at the parking spot and check the operator's app.
Valet at hotels and malls
A valet is a staff member who parks the car for you. You pull up at the entrance, hand over the key, get a ticket, and ask for the car when you leave. Hotels almost always offer it, and so do many malls and restaurants. Whether it is paid or included depends on the specific place, so ask at the entrance or when you book the hotel.
- Before you hand over the key, photograph the car from all sides and the dashboard showing mileage and fuel level.
- Take your documents, passport, bags and anything valuable out of the cabin. Keep the ticket safe.
- Ask how long it will take to bring the car back if you are heading to a flight or a meeting.
- A small tip for the valet is customary, but it is up to you.
Sports and rare cars are better not handed to a valet unless you have to. If you do, show the person how the engine starts and how reverse works. Some supercars have stricter rental terms, and these are listed on the car page.
Paid street parking and Parkin
Paid street parking in Dubai is divided into zones, and the system operator is called Parkin. Next to the parking bay there is a sign with the zone, the hours when parking is paid, and the tariff. You can pay at a meter, by SMS, or in the app. The app and the SMS both need your plate number and the zone code, so save the plate number in your phone in advance.
The hours and days when parking is paid differ from area to area, and in the evening, on Sundays and on public holidays the rules are often different. Do not rely on memory: read the sign every time. Pay for the time you are actually parked, and pay at the start, not after you come back.
A fine for unpaid parking is issued to the car, not to you personally. We will explain how fines are passed on to the renter when you book. We do not name amounts so as not to mislead you: they are set by the operator and can change.
Some places are off limits altogether: under a no-parking sign, on the pavement, next to fire hydrants, in spaces for people with disabilities, at turning points and in front of entrances. Walking an extra two hundred metres is cheaper than the alternative.
Where to leave the car overnight
The simplest option is a hotel with parking. When you book a room, ask whether parking is included, whether there is a height limit, and how many cars one room may bring. If you rent an apartment in the Marina, JBR or Downtown, ask the host or the front desk whether there is a guest space. In residential towers the spaces are usually assigned to flats, and you must not take someone else's.
Overnight street parking is possible, but again the sign decides. Some zones run around the clock, in others parking is free at night, and on some streets you cannot stop at all. If you are unsure, choose the hotel or mall car park.
One more detail that saves time: we deliver the car to an address in Dubai and collect it from the same place. On rentals of 7 days or more, delivery and return are free; on shorter ones they cost 210 AED for delivery and return together. So you do not have to go to our Princess Tower office to pick the car up, and at the end you do not have to hunt for a spot near it.
Which car is easier to park
In the narrow car parks of older districts and malls a small car saves nerves, while a big SUV takes longer to park. For comparison, prices as of October 2026; the current price is on each car page.
| Car | Day, AED | Week, AED | Month, AED | For parking |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toyota Raize 2024 | 109 | 750 | 2,490 | compact crossover, fits almost any spot |
| MINI Cooper S 2024 | 280 | 1,680 | 5,600 | very small, 4 seats, fits narrow spaces |
| Toyota Camry 2025 | 180 | 1,170 | 3,950 | mid-size sedan, familiar dimensions |
| Chevrolet Tahoe 2024 | 350 | 2,100 | 7,000 | 8 seats, large, needs wide bays and entry height |

These cars come with no deposit and a minimum rental from 1 day. Some cars in the fleet are provided by a partner company with its own terms: a 1,000 AED deposit and a minimum of 3 or 7 days, for example the Kia Picanto 2024 (109 AED a day), one of the smallest cars we have. The terms for each car are shown on its page.
A short checklist before you shut the door
- Read the sign: zone, hours, maximum stay.
- Pay straight away and note until what time the parking is paid.
- Do not leave bags, chargers or documents on the seats.
- Take a photo of where you parked, especially in a multi-storey car park.
- If you rent for several days, sort out a permanent overnight spot on the first evening.
