Which premium EVs are in the fleet
Tesla is no longer the only choice: in Dubai you can rent electric cars you would rarely see elsewhere. We have a separate article on Tesla, so here we cover six models from a different circle. Prices are as of October 2026, and the current price is always on the car page. All six are offered with no deposit and from 1 day.
| Model | Power | Seats | Day, AED | Week, AED | Month, AED |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zeekr X 2025 | 428 hp | 5 | 300 | 1,800 | 6,000 |
| Polestar 2 2024 | 300 hp | 5 | 380 | 2,280 | 7,600 |
| Zeekr 001 2025 | 544 hp | 5 | 480 | 2,880 | 9,600 |
| Li Auto L9 2024 (hybrid) | 449 PS | 6 | 520 | 3,120 | 10,400 |
| Xiaomi SU7 Max 2024 | 673 PS | 5 | 550 | 3,300 | 11,000 |
| Lucid Air 2024 | 620 hp | 5 | 1,200 | 6,960 | 22,800 |
A note on Hongqi: the brand is in our fleet with the H5 (220 AED a day) and H9 (550 AED), but these are petrol cars, not EVs. If you want electric power, they are not the right choice.
What each car is and who it suits
The Zeekr X is a compact electric crossover: 428 hp, all-wheel drive, 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and around 440 km of range. It is the most affordable car in this group.
The Polestar 2 comes from the Swedish brand spun out of Volvo: 300 hp, rear-wheel drive, around 650 km of range according to its page, Google software in the infotainment and Harman Kardon audio. A calm car for people who like restrained design.
The Zeekr 001 is an electric shooting brake: 544 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, up to 620 km of range and 80 percent charge in 15 minutes on a 360 kW charger. Air suspension and massaging seats make it comfortable for long drives.
The Xiaomi SU7 Max is the fastest regular version: 673 PS and 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. Xiaomi has no official dealer in the UAE and every car here is a direct import, so at handover we explain the charging port and charging on the road.
The Li Auto L9 needs an honest explanation: it is not a pure EV but a series hybrid with a generator. Only the electric motors drive the wheels, while the 1.5-litre petrol engine charges the battery. It covers about 235 km on electricity under the WLTP cycle, then simply refuels at an ordinary petrol station. Six seats and a large cabin make it the best pick for a family.
The Lucid Air is an American saloon with a record range of up to 830 km, 620 hp and a curved 34-inch display. It is the most technically advanced and the most expensive EV in the group.
Other luxury electric cars
If you want a classic premium badge, the fleet also has the Porsche Taycan (1,000 AED a day), the Audi e-tron GT (1,100 AED) and the BMW i7 (1,300 AED). That is a separate, pricier group.
Charging in Dubai: the general picture
We do not quote a number of stations because it keeps growing, but the general picture is this. Public chargers are found at shopping malls, at many hotels and along the main roads. Fast DC stations charge many times quicker than ordinary ones, which are convenient for overnight parking.
- Ask your hotel whether the car park has a charger before you book the room.
- Ask us to show you the port and explain which adapters are needed. For the Xiaomi this is part of the handover.
- Plan routes with a margin. Claimed range comes from the manufacturer, and at highway speed or with the air conditioning on a hot day it will be lower.
The Polestar 2 and Xiaomi SU7 are described as handed over charged. For the other cars, ask about the charge level when booking.
Range and the 250 km daily limit
250 km per day is included in the rental. For most city days that is plenty, and the range of any of these cars covers that distance. A return trip to Abu Dhabi is roughly 300 km depending on your route, by our estimate, so ask us in advance about the extra-kilometre rate if you plan it.
Cost and terms
Weekly and monthly rates are noticeably better than daily ones. The Zeekr X costs 1,800 AED for a week instead of 2,100, and 6,000 AED for a month instead of 9,000. A month in the Polestar 2 is 7,600 AED, while 30 days at the daily price would be 11,400 AED. On rentals of 7 days or more, delivery and return within Dubai are free; on shorter ones they cost 210 AED for both together. Insurance is included, and fines and Salik are paid at actual cost. The driver must be at least 21 with at least a year of driving experience.
