The fleet carries four Tesla models: Model 3, Model Y, Model X and the Cybertruck, from AED 250 to 1,800 a day. It is the most accessible way to try an electric car in Dubai without buying one, and the price spread reflects size and capacity more than luxury. Below are the rates for September 2026, what charging looks like around the city, and an honest look at when a Tesla makes more sense than a petrol car, and when it does not.

The weekly rate is roughly equal to six days, the monthly rate to 17-22 days depending on the model. The Cybertruck is the newest addition: an all-electric pickup with a stainless-steel body, 600 hp and five seats, and under the rental contract it stays on paved roads.
Tesla Model 3, AED 250 a day
The Model 3 is the most affordable model from the brand in the fleet and one of the cheapest cars overall in the premium segment: a five-seat sedan with a 283 hp electric motor, noticeably quicker off the line than a petrol sedan in the same class and with none of the engine noise or vibration. It is built for everyday city driving rather than off-road runs, but on Dubai's flat, wide roads that rarely becomes a limitation.
Tesla Model Y, AED 350 a day
The Model Y is a crossover on the same platform as the Model 3, but with a higher seating position and a bigger boot, 299 hp for five seats. The AED 100 a day gap over the Model 3 reflects the body and cargo space, not a fundamentally different tech level, both models share Autopilot and the same set of interior screens.
Tesla Model X, AED 700 a day
The Model X is the most powerful and most spacious model from the brand in the fleet: 670 hp, six seats and the signature doors that open upward like wings. The price being double the Model Y is not about status, it is a real difference in capability, a third row that fits adults, and acceleration comparable to petrol sports cars rather than just an electric crossover.
Charging in Dubai
The car is handed over charged and should come back in a similar state, the same logic as a full tank on a petrol car. The city runs a public network of DEWA EV Green Charger stations, with chargers outside malls, along the main highways and at many residential compounds, and a number of hotels and serviced apartments, especially newer ones, offer charging right in the guest parking. Is a Tesla worth it over a petrol car
Economically, a Tesla wins over longer rentals: the cost of charging per kilometre in the UAE is noticeably lower than petrol, and on a rental of a week or more that difference already shows up in the trip budget, especially with active daily driving. Add to that the absence of a Salik-style toll cost on some routes for electric cars and lower servicing needs compared with an internal combustion engine. There is one downside: planning trips beyond Dubai, to Abu Dhabi or further into the Emirates, means keeping an eye on charge level and station locations, something you do not need to think about in a petrol car with a fuel station on every corner. For the city and short trips to neighbouring emirates a Tesla is a clear win, for a multi-day road trip across all the emirates with an unpredictable route, a petrol car remains the more flexible choice.
Range in summer
Running the air conditioning at full blast in July heat noticeably cuts the range of any electric car, and a Tesla is no exception. The manufacturer's official range figures usually do not account for this, in practice it is worth budgeting more charge for the same trip in summer than in winter, especially with a family in the car and the climate control on high. For driving within Dubai this is rarely an issue given the dense charging network, but for a longer trip out of town in summer it is worth checking the charge level before you leave rather than trusting the official range figure alone.
Other electric cars in the fleet
Tesla is not the only EV option we offer: the fleet includes Chinese electric models too, from the budget BYD Atto 3 up to the BYD Han, BYD Tang and Zeekr 001 in a higher class, some of them with seven seats. Requirements and insurance
Requirements are the same across all four models: age from 21, driving experience from 1 year, no deposit. Basic insurance with own-damage cover is included in the rate, full zero-excess cover is available for an extra fee, ask for the current rate when you book. Mileage is 250 km a day, delivery and collection anywhere in Dubai are free on rentals of 7 days or more, on shorter rentals delivery and collection together cost AED 210.
Autopilot and in-cabin technology
The Model 3, Model Y and Model X all come with the Autopilot driver assistance system, a single central touchscreen in place of a traditional instrument cluster, and over-the-air software updates that can change how the car behaves after you have already picked it up. For anyone driving a Tesla for the first time, the difference is obvious right away, the brake pedal is barely needed in the city thanks to regenerative braking, the car slows itself down noticeably when you lift off the accelerator. It is worth getting used to in the first half hour of the trip rather than heading straight into dense traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Which model to choose
The Model 3 suits one or two people and city driving: the airport, malls, the office. The Model Y is picked by families with kids or anyone who needs a bigger boot, for example arriving with luggage straight off a flight. The Model X gets booked when you need to seat six people or want to make an impression with the wing doors outside a hotel, not just get from point A to point B.
Example: a week with the Model 3
The Model 3 for 7 days: AED 1,500. Charging for active city driving: roughly AED 100 to 150 for the week, noticeably cheaper than fuel on a petrol sedan in the same class. Salik for daily trips: around AED 150 to 200. Delivery and collection are free on rentals of 7 days or more. The total lands around AED 1,750 to 1,850 for a week, one of the most affordable weekly rentals in the entire fleet.
