Dubai welcomes visitors all year round, but behind the wheel it is almost two different cities in winter and summer. This guide covers how the season affects availability, comfort on the road and the right time to book. Prices are as of October 2026, and the current price is always on each car page.

High season: November to March

The most pleasant weather runs from November to March. Days are warm without being punishing, evenings are cool, and it is easy to enjoy the beaches, Hatta and a desert drive. That is exactly why demand peaks. Winter holiday visitors arrive, exhibitions and festivals fill the calendar, and the popular cars get reserved early.

The busiest weeks are the end of December and the start of January: New Year, school holidays and long weekends. SUVs, convertibles and executive saloons go first. If you have fixed dates and a specific model in mind, book several weeks ahead, and earlier is better. Dates of holidays and festivals change every year, so check the calendar before you buy flights.

Low season: June to September

Summer in Dubai is hot. In July and August daytime temperatures are usually above 40 degrees, with high humidity on top. There are noticeably fewer tourists, many residents are away, roads are freer and the choice of cars is wider. For business trips, medical visits or anyone who handles heat well, it is a calm time to be here.

What to remember when driving in summer:

  • Park in covered parking or in the shade. A steering wheel and seats left in the sun get hot enough to burn.
  • Do not leave lighters, power banks, aerosol cans or plastic water bottles in the cabin. Heat spoils them and can make them dangerous.
  • Start the car and turn on the air conditioning a few minutes before you get in.
  • Plan long drives for the morning or the evening, and keep midday for cafes and malls.
  • If a temperature or tyre pressure warning appears, stop somewhere safe and call us.

Shoulder months: October, April and May

In October the heat eases while visitor numbers are still modest, and from mid-month the weather feels almost like winter. It is a good window if your dates are flexible. April and May are already hot, though evenings are still bearable. In spring there are some days with dust in the air and reduced visibility: slow down and keep a bigger gap on the highway.

How demand affects availability and rental length

Our fleet is about 365 cars from 56 brands, but in winter the most requested models can be taken on your dates. The longer the rental, the better the rate: for most cars the weekly and monthly price per day is lower than the daily price. For example, the Toyota Corolla Cross 2025 is 170 AED per day, 1,100 AED per week and 3,750 AED for 30 days. For a winter month it is a sensible choice, because you secure the car for the whole period instead of hunting for free days.

Renting for 7 days or more also brings free delivery and return anywhere in Dubai. On shorter rentals delivery and return together cost 210 AED. If you are unsure whether you need five days or seven, that is one more reason to take the week.

A convertible is at its best from November to March; in summer an open roof at midday is more of an endurance test. For a large family in the heat, strong air conditioning and a roomy cabin matter more, so a seven-seat SUV is a good pick in any month.

When to book and how to avoid mistakes

  • For December and January, contact us as early as you can, especially if you want an SUV or a convertible.
  • If your dates are flexible, compare the cost across neighbouring weeks.
  • Most cars need no deposit; if a car needs one, it is shown on its page. Some cars come from a partner company with their own terms: the deposit and minimum period are shown on the page, and those cars cannot be driven to Oman.
  • Our office is in Princess Tower, Dubai Marina, open daily 10:00 to 19:00, with Russian-speaking support.

There is no single best month for everyone. Winter gives you the weather, summer gives you choice and quiet roads, and the shoulder months offer a bit of both. Send us your dates and we will tell you what is available.
