Renting a car in Dubai is simpler than it sounds once you know the order of things. Below is the whole path from choosing a car to handing back the keys. We only describe what actually happens with us, and for a specific car and dates always confirm the details when you book.
Step 1. Choose a car and a length of rental
The fleet has about 365 cars from 56 brands. Each car page shows three prices: per day, per week (7 days) and per month (30 days), in UAE dirhams. First decide what you need: a sedan for the city, a crossover for a family, an SUV for the desert, or something special for the experience. Then settle on the length, because it sets the rate and the delivery cost. We covered choosing a length and not overpaying in our article on saving on rentals.
On the car page look at three things: the deposit, the minimum rental period, and the partner terms if it is a partner car. Most cars need no deposit and include insurance. If a car needs a deposit, it is shown on its page.
Step 2. Contact us
Write or call us: our support speaks Russian. Tell us the car or class, the dates, where you want to collect and return it, and how many drivers there will be. We confirm whether the car is free for your dates, give you the total and answer questions about the terms. This is the moment to ask about anything that matters to you: trips to Oman (not allowed on partner cars), extra kilometres, a second driver, a child seat.
A worked example. A Toyota Camry 2025 for 5 days at the daily rate is 900 AED. If the car has to be brought to you, add 210 AED for delivery and return together, 1,110 AED in total. Prices are as of October 2026, and the current price is on the car page.
Step 3. Prepare your documents
- Passport with a visa or entry stamp.
- Your national driving licence. The driver must be at least 21 and have held a licence for at least a year. There is no young-driver fee. Some supercars may have stricter terms, shown on the car page.
- An International Driving Permit if your licence is from a country whose licences are not accepted in the UAE without one. Which countries are on the list is covered in our article on licence requirements. If you are not sure, write to us before booking.
- Licence and passport of a second driver, if more than one person will drive. They are added to the contract at pick-up.
At pick-up we photograph the licence and passport ourselves. Sending scans in advance is usually not required, but confirm this when you book.
Step 4. Payment
We accept cash, bank cards and e-wallets. If you pay by card, the rental amount may be held on the card as a pre-authorisation and charged at the end of the rental. It is not a deposit or an extra fee: the money is simply reserved for a while. Ask us whether a pre-authorisation applies in your case and for what amount.
If your card does not work abroad, that is solvable: payment can be made in other ways, for example by bank transfer. See our article on paying for a rental without a local card.
Step 5. Picking up the car
There are two options. The first is to collect the car at our office in Princess Tower, Dubai Marina, open daily from 10:00 to 19:00. The second is to order delivery anywhere in Dubai: a hotel, a home or the airport. Delivery and return are free on rentals of 7 days or more, and cost 210 AED together on shorter ones. Partner cars have their own terms: 80 AED each way, free from 30 days.
At pick-up do four things:
- Read the contract and check the dates, the amount and the details of every driver.
- Walk around the car with our employee and photograph every scratch and dent, including small ones. A detailed list of checks is in our inspection checklist.
- Check the fuel level and the mileage on the dashboard.
- Keep the contract and the car documents in the glovebox: the police ask for them at a stop.
Step 6. During the rental
250 km a day is included. Salik tolls and fines for speeding and parking are paid by the renter at actual cost. Salik is charged to the tag in the car and the bill is built from real crossings, so it can arrive a few days later, sometimes after the car has been returned. If you plan to drive further than usual, ask for the extra kilometre rate. If you need to extend, write to us in advance rather than on the day of return.
Step 7. Returning the car
Bring the car back to the office during opening hours, or agree on a return to an address in Dubai. We inspect the car together and compare it with the photos from pick-up. Agree on the time in advance, especially if your flight is early or late. After return, what remains is settling Salik and any fines, and the card hold, if there was one, is closed out against the final amount.
In short
Choose a car, message us, prepare documents, pay, collect, drive and return: the whole procedure starts with a message or two. The main things to do in advance are to check your licence and settle your dates.
