The Camry and the Altima are everywhere in the Emirates: taxi fleets, company cars, family sedans. For a renter that is good news. Both are roomy, soft on the road and well suited to the long highways between emirates. The difference is in the details, and the details decide the choice. Below is a comparison based on our own fleet, with prices as of October 2026. The current price is always shown on each car page.

Look at the last column. Most of our cars need no deposit, but the Camry 2020 and every Altima are provided by a partner company with its own terms: a 1,000 AED deposit, a minimum rental of 3 or 7 days, delivery at 80 AED each way (free from 30 days) and no driving to Oman. The only car in this pair without such terms is the Camry 2025, which can be rented from one day. Each car page shows its own terms.
Price for a day, a week and a month
On price alone, the Camry 2020 and both 2020 Altima versions are identical: 140 AED a day, 900 AED a week and 2,600 AED a month. That is the cheapest way to get a full-size sedan for a longer rental. The weekly price is clearly better than paying by the day: seven days at 140 AED would be 980 AED, while the week costs 900.
The newer cars look different. The Altima 2025 is 150 AED a day and the Camry 2025 is 180 AED. Over a week the gap narrows to 980 AED against 1,170 AED. For a month the Altima 2025 is 3,300 AED and the Camry 2025 is 3,950 AED. One special line: the Altima AWD 2025 with all-wheel drive costs 170 AED a day, 1,000 AED a week and only 3,000 AED a month, so for a month it is cheaper than the regular Altima 2025. That is an unusual combination for a sedan in this class.
Power, comfort and equipment
On power the two Camry cars are almost the same: 203 and 204 hp from a 2.5-litre engine. Our description of the Camry 2025 gives fuel use of about 7 litres per 100 km, 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds, a leather interior, a 12.3-inch screen, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise, ventilated seats and a 524-litre boot.
The Altima 2025 has a 2.5-litre engine with 188 hp and a CVT, about 7 litres per 100 km and 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. It has a leather interior, a 360-degree camera, ProPILOT adaptive cruise, ventilated seats and a 436-litre boot. In acceleration they are practically equal, and the Camry has the bigger boot.
The Altima SR 2020 stands apart: 248 hp in our data, firmer suspension and dark exterior trim. It is the most powerful car in this pair for the same 140 AED a day. The Altima SL 2020 is softer and calmer with 188 hp. The Camry 2020 is listed in our data with all-wheel drive.
Choose the Camry if
- You want a sedan with no deposit and no one-week minimum: the Camry 2025 can be taken for just a couple of days.
- Boot space matters: 524 litres against 436 for the Altima 2025.
- You travel as a family with suitcases and want the most practical car, one that everyone in the region knows.
- You want the newest cabin with ventilated seats and a 360-degree camera and it is the only newer sedan in this pair with no deposit.
Choose the Altima if
- Budget comes first: the Altima 2025 is 30 AED a day and 190 AED a week cheaper than the Camry 2025.
- You are renting for a month: the Altima AWD 2025 is 3,000 AED, the lowest monthly price among the newer sedans in this comparison.
- You want power for little money: the Altima SR 2020 with 248 hp costs the same as the older Camry.
- A 1,000 AED deposit and a rental of 3 or 7 days minimum are fine for you.
Bottom line
For a short trip of 1 to 6 days, or if you would rather not leave a deposit, take the Camry 2025. For a week or a month where saving matters, the Altima or the Camry 2020 at 900 AED a week are the better fit.
