In Dubai the line between premium and luxury runs by the daily rate: up to AED 1,000 is premium, meaning a Mercedes E-Class, BMW X5, Range Rover Sport or Audi Q8. From AED 1,300 luxury begins: Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maybach, Range Rover Vogue, Mercedes G63. Both categories are in our fleet, with slightly different rules and quite different use cases.
Premium: who it is for
Business travellers who need to arrive at a meeting in a decent car without hiring a limousine. Families who value highway comfort on the run to Abu Dhabi and a quiet cabin. Couples on holiday for whom an economy car feels too plain for Dubai. The typical choices: Mercedes C200 or E200, BMW X3 or X5, Audi Q5 and Q7, Lexus RX and ES, Range Rover Evoque or Velar. Prices run AED 400 to 900 a day, with the same requirements as ordinary rental: age from 21 and one year of experience.
What that money buys compared with a AED 200 crossover: a leather interior with ventilated seats, which matter more than heating in Dubai, proper sound insulation, adaptive cruise control for the highway, a Burmester or Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a noticeable shift in how hotel and restaurant staff treat you, which in this city does depend on the car.
Luxury: what it adds
Rolls-Royce Ghost, Cullinan and Dawn, Bentley Bentayga, Continental GT and Flying Spur, Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600, Range Rover Vogue, BMW 740Li. These are cars where the rear seat matters more than the front. Silence at a level where you hear the clock ticking at 100 km/h, massage functions, a fridge with champagne flutes, rear tablets, the Rolls-Royce starlight headliner and power doors that close at the touch of a button.
People rent them to meet partners and guests, for weddings, anniversaries and photo shoots, and simply to drive through Dubai in a Rolls-Royce once in their life, because here it costs a day of the holiday budget rather than a month of income.
Requirements
Age from 21, one year of experience, passport, licence, IDP where required, full prepayment. We take no deposit, which is our deliberate difference from a market where Rolls-Royce rentals block AED 15,000 to 30,000 on a card for a month. The at-fault excess starts at AED 10,000, and full cover at AED 300 to 500 a day removes it entirely.

The rate includes insurance, 250 km a day and delivery within Dubai on rentals from 7 days. Fuel and Salik are extra. Luxury cars arrive washed and with a full tank, and can be returned at any fuel level with the difference charged per the gauge.
Self-drive or chauffeur
About half of luxury clients add a driver, from AED 350 for four hours on top of the car. With a driver you stop thinking about hotel parking, where valets treat a Rolls-Royce with special care but retrieval can take twenty minutes, and about an evening glass of wine, which in the UAE is entirely incompatible with driving.
Those who drive themselves want the driving experience specifically. The Bentley Continental GT and Rolls-Royce Dawn are taken for personal enjoyment: they are drivers' cars despite the class. The Ghost, Maybach and Flying Spur are more often chauffeured, because their best qualities live in the back.
Which car for which occasion
- Wedding: a white Rolls-Royce Ghost or Dawn, or a Bentley Flying Spur. Hotel pick-up, transfer, photo session, four to six hours with a driver.
- Meeting a delegation: Mercedes S500 or BMW 740Li; for a large group a Maybach GLS plus a V-Class.
- Photo shoot: G63, Cullinan, Continental GT. Locations: the Al Qudra desert, Palm Jumeirah, Downtown by the Burj Khalifa.
- Anniversary or gift: one day in a Dawn or Continental GTC with the roof down in winter.
- A business week: Mercedes E200 or BMW X5, comfort without excess.
Details that matter
Luxury cars are booked well ahead: Rolls-Royces for New Year are gone by early November and February dates by January. For special occasions we can decorate the car with ribbons, meet guests at the aircraft steps for private arrivals, and deliver to a specific hotel entrance at a specific time to within five minutes. Photo shoots with the car are arranged through us, with photographer and location. For Rolls-Royce and Bentley we can provide a second car for tracking shots in motion.
What separates luxury from premium in practice
The difference shows in three things, none of them about speed.
Silence. In a Rolls-Royce Ghost at 100 km/h the cabin noise level is around 55 decibels, quieter than conversation. Double glazing, 130 kilograms of sound insulation and special foam-filled tyres. In a premium Mercedes E-Class at the same speed it is about 62 decibels, which is roughly twice as loud in perception.
Ride quality. Air suspension with a camera scanning the road ahead prepares the dampers for a bump before the wheel reaches it. On Dubai's flyover expansion joints you notice it immediately.
How others treat you. Hotel valets park the car at the entrance rather than on a lower level. Security raises barriers without questions. It is not always comfortable, but it is part of what people pay for.
Luxury with a chauffeur: what the service looks like
Booking with a driver adds details that self-drive does not have. The car arrives washed and fuelled, the driver in a suit, with water and tissues in the cabin. He opens the passenger door, helps with luggage and knows which entrance at each hotel is for guests and which is for staff.
At the airport the driver waits with a name board, helps with the trolley and escorts you to the car. For an event he brings the car to the right entrance at the appointed time to within five minutes, because at a wedding or gala dinner there is a queue of cars at the door.
The driver does not join the conversation, does not play music unasked and waits as long as needed. This is not a taxi but a personal chauffeur for the duration of the rental.
Seasonality and booking luxury cars
Demand for luxury cars is highly uneven. The peaks: the last week of December and the first of January, February for European school holidays, late March for the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 weekend, and November for exhibitions and conferences. In these periods Rolls-Royces and Bentleys go a month or six weeks ahead and prices rise 20 to 30 percent.
The trough: June, July and August. Discounts reach 40 percent, cars are available, and you can take a Cullinan for a day at the price of a winter Range Rover Vogue. If your aim is photographs and the experience rather than beach weather, a summer trip is better value.
The UAE wedding season runs October to April, and in those months white Rolls-Royces are booked out on Saturdays months in advance.
What a luxury rental includes beyond the ordinary
- Delivery washed and fuelled at the agreed time to within five minutes.

- Replacement for any issue within two hours, including minor faults such as a seat massage function not working.

- A photographer on request with locations and a second car for tracking shots.
Luxury cars for weddings: how it works
Wedding hire is its own scenario with strict timing. The usual sequence: booking a specific car and colour two weeks ahead, confirming the route and exact delivery time a week ahead, and a final check with the wedding coordinator the day before.
On the day the car arrives 30 minutes early, decorated to your choice with ribbons, flowers on the bonnet or lettering on the glass. The driver wears a suit, knows the route in advance and avoids traffic. Between ceremony and reception the car waits with the air conditioning running.
Popular choices: a white Rolls-Royce Ghost or Dawn, Bentley Flying Spur or Mercedes-Maybach. Two cars are often booked: one for the couple and one for parents or the photographer. The minimum booking is four hours, with six to eight typical.
